"Eyes On You. FUCK-A-DOODLE-DOO'".Matter. Hello, Responding to your CL post. Thank you. Hi There. I was searching for condos to rent and saw your post.

Hope your evening is going well. I'm sitting outside enjoying the nice sunset. Thank you again for your wonderful message. And for your sense of humor too, I love that gift. I sometimes find myself saying oh boy LOL

I'm sorry to hear about your father suffering with dementia. I lost an inlaw of sorts to that, and another elderly friend of the family is going through that. I can see what a challenge that is for loved ones/caretakers.

Well, I'm not a candidate for what you are seeking, I'm sorry to say. I'm younger (born 1965), but wanted to respond to say thank you for such a heartfelt and positive post. Also I love Rumi's poetry, and that's a wonderful one I've not seen before.

Life is such an adventure... especially in these more uncertain times. But love and truth and goodness and beauty are still all around... and can be seen/felt/lives, as long as one is willing. Thank you, and wishing you the very best on your most wonderful journey, and best to your father. He's blessed to have you as a daughter.

That means a lot, the words of a stranger, that has a personal story to share, thanks so much. This week is over, thank God, have clothes to was, have to find a plumber, and have to get another car out of the shop, and the wheels go around.

Dementia. No cure, and it will take your breathe away, in the end. Lost of mind, lost of skills, talking, eating, walking, daily living activities, and the last lost, forget, or can't breathe, and you die. That is what my older sister told me, she showed up, for a day or two. She wanted to fired the hospice company, and she wanted to get me help with my dad, our father.

So she said, but what she did,was say good bye to my dad, threw her hands in the air, and said she was out of there. Really? That burned me up, not ready to go there, in black and white, the very least I can say, is that I was disappointed. With her, her statement, and the rejection, of my dad, her father after 2 hours.

Family, you can not pick them. Blood makes you related, loyalty, makes you family, so I have been told. Time of our lives, lessons to learn. A treacherous person, as in Ben secretly applied for the same job as his best friend; no one knew he was such a snake in the grass . This metaphor for treachery, alluding to a poisonous snake concealed in tall grass, was used in 37 b.c. by the Roman poet Virgil ( latet anguis in herba ).

Hi Sabrina, thank you so much for your reply, and for sharing your thoughts and feelings so openly. It's very refreshing and nice. I'm so sorry to hear about your father, I can't imagine how much of a challenge that must be, and the sadness at watching such a decline. I'm sorry also to hear about the situation with your sister, that is unfortunate. I can somewhat relate. My mother is 85 and has needed more care this past year. She still lives alone and is fairly independent, but no longer driving and I've been coming down to Palm Springs every two weeks or so to do all of her shopping and errands, and thoroughly clean her place, do her laundry Etc. My sister has not visited my mother in five years, and was recently here for a couple of weeks, got angry with my mom and me and said she never wants to see us again and left. I think it's her way of letting herself off the hook and not taking up her part of the responsibilities. I concur with what you said, family by fate and friends by choice.

I grew up in Colorado and my family moved to the Palm Springs area when I was 16. I was looking for a condo to rent near my mom, for maybe the next 6 months or so. I can work from home. Her place is quite small and I know she wants to remain independent and wouldn't like me living with her, not yet anyhow. Otherwise condo life is not for me. My goal is to eventually buy some land in a more rural area and build a nice home. Nothing fancy.

Did you grow up in the Southern California area? I drive through the Moreno area from time to time and see how much it has grown over the years. I still remember when Riverside Raceway was over they're off the 60, I went there one time as a teenager for a track day when people could bring their own cars.

Hope your evening is going well. I'm sitting outside enjoying the nice sunset. Thank you again for your wonderful message. And for your sense of humor too, I love that gift. I sometimes find myself saying oh boy LOL.Blaine
